Softbooq's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request access to the data strictly necessary to provide the features described below. We do not sell, share, transfer, or use Google user data for advertising purposes or to train AI or machine learning models.
Softbooq is a cloud-based ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform for small and mid-sized businesses. It covers operations, finance, HR, IT management, project management, and client relations in a single workspace. The Google integrations described below extend core ERP functionality by connecting to services the organisation already uses.

Allows users to authenticate into Softbooq using their existing Google account. We read the user's name and email address solely to create or match their Softbooq account. No other Google data is read, stored, or processed through this scope.

Used in the HR and IT modules. Softbooq reads the Google Workspace directory to import and sync employee records (names, email addresses, departments, job titles) into the HR module, eliminating duplicate data entry. The device scopes allow IT administrators to view managed ChromeOS and mobile devices enrolled in the organisation's Google Workspace account, surfacing device compliance status within Softbooq's IT management dashboard. Access is read-only; Softbooq does not create, modify, or delete directory entries or device records.
calendar.readonly
Used in the HR and Leave Management modules. Softbooq reads an employee's Google Calendar to provide scheduling context when managers review leave requests, helping avoid approving leave during already-busy periods. Calendar data is displayed only to authorised users within the same organisation and is not stored beyond the active session.

Used by Softbooq Files, the document management surface of the platform. Users can store, retrieve, organise, and share business documents (invoices, contracts, purchase orders, reports) via Google Drive. Softbooq accesses only files that the user explicitly uploads through the Softbooq Files interface or that are stored in Softbooq-created folders. The application does not scan, index, or read files outside of those created or shared through the Softbooq Files interface.
Google user data accessed through the above scopes is used only to provide the described features in real time or to maintain the associated ERP records (such as synced employee profiles). Users may disconnect any Google integration at any time from the Softbooq Settings panel, which immediately revokes our access token. Synced data derived from Google (such as imported employee names) can be deleted by the tenant administrator from within Softbooq.
Softbooq does not use data obtained through Google API services to develop, improve, or train generalised AI or machine learning models. Google user data is never used for advertising targeting, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the specific ERP features described above.
